More than 50 years ago they used to meet there to share their lives and from these moments the Clube da Esquina was born. The concept of MPB represents the fusion of many types of popular music from our people mixed with the rhythmic refinement of jazz and the transgressive behavior of rock.
No album represents this idea of MPB as well as Clube da Esquina, which fused the rhythms from the world with the cadence of samba, the ritualistic of Congadas and the ancestry of the native peoples, all of this wrapped in a deeply melancholic poetics that seems to translate the spirit of that period.
If God really exists, I prefer to believe that he is black, Brazilian and that the sound of his voice has a thousand tones...
